Ten days
In ten days I will be back in the great state of Nebraska and specifically waking the University of Nebraska grounds. While I did a drive by last December, this year I plan to walk the campus and enjoy some things from the past.
The Nebraska bookstore is no longer located just off campus and the Student Union no longer has a Runza restaurant, but the Union is bigger than what we had when I was on campus. The Colosseum is no longer the volleyball venue, that’s moved to Devaney sports center, but I will pass by the Colosseum for a quick glimpse and remember the past.
Here’s a picture of Love library and if you look closely you will see the many 1/2 floors that were so easy to get lost in. It was a perfect place to study in the 1/2 floors because nobody could find you unless you wanted to be found.
Thanks @ University of Nebraska Lincoln twitter feed for the picture.
The University has changed but football still is played at Memorial Stadium. The place where tradition is still supreme. On that Saturday the stadium will fill with the 360th conservative sell out. I’m not sure the exact number of conservative sell outs, maybe a few more or a few less, but that Saturday a Nebraska boy from a small town in Nebraska returns to Memorial Stadium. Not as a football player as he was in my days, rather this time as head coach. So don’t be surprised if you hear about a ‘Frost report in September. I can’t wait for that home opener, GBR!
