2021 is here…

Finally 2020 is behind us, now to improve on 2020 and have a great 2021. I’m hoping 2021 can bring new beginnings for all. I for one will try to post more; for today, here’s some of my thoughts……

I’ll start by saying, toilet paper and paper towels are in stock. Lysol wipes are easier to find, Clorox still seem to be elusive. I once was able to get a multi pack at Sam’s club but now Sam’s club only carries single bottles of their brand. I’m ok though because for now I have wipes, TP, paper towels and and Lysol spray; so I’m good.

I do wonder what the future brings now that a vaccine is in the process of being given to thousands of people. I’m a little concerned it is taking a while to get those dosages to those that need it. For many the process is just first come first served and not a lot of information for those most vulnerable. If feel that government and local agencies could provide more information so all of us can stay safe and if it’s our turn to take the vaccine, we can easily step up and get it.

I also wonder how the vaccine will impact us in the months and years to come. Yes there are a few situations where people have suffered allergic reactions but I guess that could be expected and they seem to be few. Additionally, I wonder if a few years down the road we will find the vaccine wasn’t so safe after all.

The thought that even after getting the vaccine, we have to continue to wear masks seems a little strange, but I guess the point there is protecting others who have yet to be vaccinated safe. Though I don’t like the thought, it is conceivable that everyone will not be vaccinated and herd immunity will not occur until late 2021 or maybe even into 2022.

2020 will certainly be a better year for all of us; I’m thinking it just has to be better. Stay safe everyone. Wear your mask and stay physically distant. Socially reach out to everyone you know, phone, texting, Zoom, FaceTime calls etc, most of those options are fairly inexpensive and do not require you to be in the same space as others.

That’s enough rambling for today. Until I post again, I hope everyone has a good New Year.
